Any chance you are stuck at home? Yup, me too. And after only two exhausting days of trying to help my 16-year-old son, Thomas, with this calculus homework, I’m ready to yell, “Calgon, take me away.” I mean seriously, what doesn’t he understand? It isn’t that difficult!
So, with that said, let me point out two things, 1. I am kidding about helping with calculus, I am not a mathlete, and if you have ever been out to eat with me, you know I use my fingers to calculate the tip and 2. even if you didn’t get the Calgon* joke, you may still appreciate this blog.
I had wanted to get to the local Lather store for quite some time now as I love their all-natural products and fortunately I had the opportunity to make a trip last week when things were the “old normal”, not the “new normal”.
So, if creating an at-home spa experience is on the top of your to-do list, (after homeschooling and counting your rolls of toilet paper) here are my Lather favorites. You will notice I was on a bit of a lavender kick as I am obsessed with my Tom Ford Lavender Extreme perfume but also because the scent is so calming. Sweet Almond Exfoliating Creme
Vanilla and Argon Lip Scrub (if you only buy one thing, this is my top recommendation)
Please let me know what you are doing to cope and stay safe and healthy.
*For the youngsters, Calgon was a bath powder that promised to “take you away,” I remember it so vividly because my great-grandmother, Mimi, always had a big new box of it ready when I came to visit. I remember it felt so luxurious and grown-up to use it. The bathrooms in her house had gas heaters in them built in the wall, so the whole experience was as they say today “extra.” I’d also like to add that Calgon’s marketing created the original FOMO.
