While spending time enjoying all the Hamptons has to offer in the summer, New York-raised Kristin Lombardo Mika drew inspiration from the simple aesthetic and classic style of the gorgeous beach communities. Hampton Paper Designs combines Kristin’s lifelong love of paper & letter writing and her spot-on taste for classic styling.

When her second son, Jackson, was born in 2007, Kristin searched for calling cards reflecting her tailored style: classic, simple, refined. Instead she bought what was available and came home disappointed. Rather than settle, Kristin did what smart women do. She took an idea and made it an opportunity. What was a spontaneous personal project has grown into a thriving business.

Knowing there was an interest and need for timeless images on high-quality paper, Kristin asked her friend, artist Lucy Borge, to paint a few of her trademark charming images. What was a favor asked on a whim that summer in the Hamptons would quickly become much more. A few prototypes later and Hampton Paper Designs was established. Kristin’s thrilled to provide products that so perfectly embody her personal style to her customers.

Lucy Borge received formal training at the renowned Isabel O’Neil Studio in New York. In addition to her watercolor artwork she also lends her considerable talent to decorative furniture painting and decoupage. Lucy finds inspiration wherever her brush takes her. Whether it is her rendering of the blue giraffe or the charming red wagon depicted on our canvas tote bags she can always be counted on for a unique twist to our favorite things. She lives with her family in New York City and Quogue, N.Y.
