The only thing I can think of that is more stressful than finding something to wear for holiday parties is getting a picture for my holiday card! For the latter, I started a stationery company, for the former, I try to shop early (like now!) so that when the invitations start to roll in, I have a few things in my closet that I am excited to wear.
Here are a few of my favorites that I came across in my shopping. Some I bought, some I just love from afar.
Wouldn’t this be perfect for a New Year’s Eve Party? I can’t decide which color I like better!
JCrew Tartan Button Down
So, I bought the women’s version in the store the other day. They don’t seem to have it on the website yet, so no link included, but I wore it with the BR Velvet pants and the Gucci Belt and Jimmy Choo shoes. I also like it paired with black denim and under the Rag & Bone blazer. You can’t see the detail on this, but it has a grosgrain ribbon on the collar and back. I think it is a more modern take on a tuxedo blazer.
This is way cuter in person. I swear! Inexpensive at 40% off, I can picture it with the velvet pants, or those skinny leather leggings that are in style or a black taffeta/silk skirt. Tuck it in and push the sleeves up a bit.
This is a great timeless classic! I picture a big silver necklace with it or a simple diamond pendant.
Gorgeous. I need a sponsor for it!
Ditton on this one.
I bought this for my sister’s 50th birthday party. It is so classic and stylish.
If you are a dress person, this is simple with nice detail on the bottom.
I bought these last year and, they are a great staple for the holidays. A cream blouse as shown or any of the plaid shirts look great or even a classic white button-down. Pair with patent leather shoes and a statement belt and you are ready to go!
Check out BR web site for some great mix and match ideas. I know you probably need a few outfits, and their website shows you how you can maximize the pieces. Even if you don’t get the BR ones, it may inspire you!
This is a good basic piece. It offers a lot of options!
I don’t think they sell that Swarovski Gucci belt anymore, but anything similar to break up the black will work.
